My Voltage Tuned VFO - Have I gone crazy?
I built a 3.5X MHz scratch voltage controlled VFO for home brew radios. No PLL circuit -- a free running variable frequency oscillator. Have I gone mad? Perhaps. Complete design + analysis, plus a short assessment of frequency stability due to temperature changes at 2 frequency bands.

really good
ReplyDeleteDid you play these riffs yourself...?
ReplyDeleteYes. All guitar or piano is me. All guitar is from amps I designed and built. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteIt's sounding great. I used to play electric guitar as a hobby, hence my question. And no, you've not gone crazy, building a free running oscillator can be very satisfying. I melted tons of solder in the past trying out all sorts of topologies. "The joy of oscillation!" Very inspiring blog you have, keep up the good work!
